The Initial Design Consultation is a standalone professional design service designed to give you clarity and direction before making major design or purchasing decisions.

During the 90-minute consultation, we’ll walk through your home, discuss how you use the spaces, explore your ideas and identify opportunities to improve the layout, functionality and overall feel of your home.

Where useful, I may also capture 3D imagery or floor plans to help illustrate the design direction.

Following the consultation, you’ll receive a personalised summary outlining my key recommendations, suggested design direction, relevant inspiration and product recommendations, along with practical next steps.

If you continue into a larger design project, you may also benefit from access to trade pricing with many of my preferred suppliers, where available.

Absolutely. You do not need to be undertaking a complete renovation to benefit from professional design advice.

I can help with a single room, including a kitchen, bathroom, living area, bedroom, entrance or outdoor space. Depending on what you need, this may begin and end with an Initial Design Consultation or continue into a more detailed single-room design service.

For smaller or more focused projects, design consultancy can also be provided on an hourly basis, giving you access to professional advice without committing to a full design service.

Absolutely. Tricky layouts are often where thoughtful design makes the biggest difference.

Yes. Depending on the scope of your project, I can provide floor plans, furniture layouts, spatial planning, cabinetry and joinery concepts, lighting and electrical plans, plumbing and tiling plans, finishes schedules and realistic 3D visualisations.

These allow you to understand how the proposed design will look and function before work begins. They also give builders, cabinetmakers and other trades clear information to work from, helping to reduce uncertainty and avoid costly misunderstandings.

The documentation required will be tailored to your project and clearly outlined in your design proposal. Plans and 3D visualisations are not included within the Initial Design Consultation unless specifically agreed.

Through my relationships with trusted suppliers, manufacturers and design brands, I can often access trade pricing across furniture, lighting, flooring, tiles, tapware, fabrics and homewares.

Where available, these savings are passed on to you and typically range from 10% to 50%, depending on the supplier and product.

If you would like me to place and manage your orders, a 7% procurement and management fee applies. This service can include confirming the correct product, size, finish and configuration, placing orders, liaising with suppliers and coordinating delivery details.

Procurement is entirely optional. You are also welcome to purchase approved selections directly if you would prefer to manage the ordering process yourself.

My services are designed to be flexible, and the right level of involvement depends on both your project and your available budget.

During our initial conversation, I will ask about your anticipated budget and priorities. If I believe a different level of service would offer better value, or that the scope and budget are not comfortably aligned … I will always be honest with you.

Interior design fees vary depending on the size and complexity of your project, the level of detail required and how much support you would like throughout the process.

A focused consultation or single-room project will naturally require a different level of investment from a complete renovation or new build. Once I understand your home, priorities and the scope of work involved, I will recommend the most appropriate design service and provide clear information about the associated fees.

Before beginning any work, you will receive an agreed scope outlining the design services, estimated hours or tailored project fee, so you can make an informed decision about how you would like to proceed.

Yes. I can help with anything from finding a few key pieces through to furnishing and styling an entire room or home.

This might include furniture, rugs, artwork, lighting, window treatments, cushions and those final details that make a room feel finished. I’ll also work with pieces you already own where they deserve to stay.

For larger furnishing projects, I can take care of sourcing, procurement and installation too.

Yes. I design kitchens and bathrooms as standalone projects, as well as part of larger renovations and new builds.

Yes. I work on both new builds and considered renovations, from individual spaces through to whole-home projects.

With renovations, I particularly enjoy rethinking existing layouts, improving flow and functionality, and finding opportunities within the original footprint. For new builds, I can become involved early to help shape the interior layout, material palette, cabinetry, lighting and finishes so the home feels cohesive from the outset.

I don’t believe in applying the same look to every home.

Every project starts with understanding how you live, what you love and how you want your home to feel. I might introduce ideas you hadn’t considered, but the end result should still feel unmistakably like your home ... not mine.

Yes. I look at colour as part of the whole home rather than choosing a paint colour in isolation.

That might mean considering paint alongside your cabinetry, flooring, stone, tiles, fabrics and existing furnishings so everything works together.

If you simply need help getting the colour palette right, we can also arrange a focused colour consultation.

Absolutely. I’m happy to work alongside your existing architect, builder, cabinetmaker or other trusted trades and consultants.

My role is to bring the interior design direction together, communicate the design intent clearly, and help ensure decisions around layout, materials, finishes, fittings and detailing remain cohesive throughout the project.

Where needed, I can also coordinate with the wider team to help keep information clear and the design moving forward.

I provide comprehensive design coordination and oversight throughout your renovation, from initial concept through to final installation and styling.

Depending on the scope, this can include detailed design documentation, procurement, supplier and trade coordination, site visits, design reviews, installation planning and resolving design queries as the project progresses.

Yes. Where your project requires council consent, I can manage and coordinate the process on your behalf.

This includes bringing together the appropriate architect, architectural designer, engineer and other consultants, coordinating the required information, keeping communication moving between everyone involved, and helping ensure the design intent is maintained throughout the consent process.

The relevant specialists remain responsible for preparing and certifying their own technical documentation, while I act as your central point of contact and help keep the process organised, clear and moving forward.
